CST349 Week 2 - Learning Journal

Reflecting Learning Strategy:

    Top 3 Strengths:

        - Keeping notes organized: I have structured my notes in a format that is clear for me and easy to                    understand.

        - Time management/awareness: Since working a full time job and being a full time student, I have                learned to manage my time effectively and in a way that has not hindered my education or work.

        - Re-reading and understanding main/key points: I have learned that the most effective way to learn                for me while reading is summarizing key points/topic/ideas in my own words.

    Top 3 Weaknees

        - Test-taking: I tend to get anxious and nervous while taking exams so sometimes when I get stuck on           a question I have a tendency to take too long/focus on unclear questions to me for too long.

        - Active reading with SQ3R: There are times when I read passively when I think I know a topic, so I              do not recite it or review it which can hinder my learning.

        - Revising and revisiting new topics: There are times when I do not go back to my lecture notes at the          end of the day for review and then the next day I tend to forget the new topics. Consistency with                  reviewing is a habit I need to work on.

  1. Hi Chanroop!
I really like how detailed your activity log is and how you block off specific times for school work and self care. That is something I need to work on myself. One suggestion I have, based on what's worked for me, is to tally up the total number of hours you spend on each class. It's helped me be more aware of where my time is going. Keep up the great work!
